Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 2026 · Version 1.0

1. Who We Are

Litigo Limited (company number 16053612), trading as GoLitigo and Accord, is the data controller for personal data processed through the Accord platform. We are registered in England and Wales.

Data Protection Contact: privacy@golitigo.ai

2. Data We Collect

Given the nature of family law proceedings, Accord may process sensitive personal data. We collect:

Account information: name, email address, password (encrypted).

Case information: details you provide about your family law matter, including names of parties, children, financial information, property details, pension values, income details, and employment information.

Financial data: information entered into Form E and financial remedy tools, including bank account details, property valuations, pension CETVs, business interests, liabilities, and income/expenditure.

Children information: names, dates of birth, living arrangements, welfare concerns, and information about contact arrangements as entered into C100 and related forms.

Documents: files you upload as supporting evidence, including bank statements, valuations, and correspondence.

Payment data: processed by Stripe — we do not store card numbers.

Usage data: how you interact with the Platform, pages visited, features used.

3. Special Category Data

Family law matters may involve special category data under UK GDPR, including information about domestic abuse, health conditions, and criminal allegations. We process this data on the basis of your explicit consent (provided when you enter this information) and because processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims.

4. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

  • Generate court documents based on information you provide
  • Provide AI-assisted guidance and calculations
  • Track deadlines and send reminders
  • Process payments
  • Improve the Platform and fix errors
  • Comply with legal obligations

Legal basis: contract performance (providing the service you signed up for), legitimate interests (improving the Platform), consent (special category data), and legal obligation (where required).

5. AI Processing

Accord uses AI services provided by Anthropic (Claude) to assist with document generation and guidance. When you use AI features:

  • Relevant case information is sent to the AI service to generate responses
  • Anthropic does not use your data to train their models under our commercial agreement
  • AI-generated content is not reviewed by humans at Anthropic
  • We minimise the data sent to AI services to what is necessary for the specific feature

6. Data Sharing

We share your data only with:

  • Supabase — database hosting (EU servers)
  • Vercel — application hosting
  • Anthropic — AI processing (as described above)
  • Stripe — payment processing
  • GLEAN reviewers — only if you choose to submit documents for professional review, and only the specific documents you submit

We will never sell your personal data. We may disclose data if required by law or court order.

7. Data Security

Given the sensitivity of family law data, we implement robust security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, row-level security policies, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Data Retention

We retain your case data for as long as your account is active and for 12 months after account deletion, to allow for account recovery. Financial data within Form E documents is retained for the duration of your case plus 6 years (consistent with court record retention). You may request earlier deletion at any time.

9. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of all personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification — correct inaccurate data
  • Erasure — request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Restriction — restrict processing in certain circumstances
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests
  • Withdraw consent — for special category data processing

To exercise any right, email privacy@golitigo.ai. We will respond within 30 days.

10. Domestic Abuse Considerations

If you are in a situation involving domestic abuse, please be aware that others with access to your device may be able to see your browsing history. Accord includes a safe exit button on relevant screens. If you need to use the Platform discreetly, consider using a private/incognito browser window and clearing your history after use.

11. Children's Data

Accord processes information about children as part of C100 applications and welfare assessments. This data is processed on the legal basis of the parent or guardian's consent and for the establishment of legal claims. We take extra care to protect children's data and limit its processing to what is strictly necessary for the legal proceedings.

12. Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, contact privacy@golitigo.ai. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

13. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email.
